bpost adapts its tariffs for 2026
From 1 January 2026, bpost will adjust its stamp and parcel tariffs in order to continue offsetting the structural decline in mail volumes, which is becoming more pronounced every year (~10% less per year) and will be further accentuated by the requirement for electronic invoicing in 2026; the increase in costs linked to inflation; the rise in wage costs and the strong seasonality of demand. These price adjustments are essential to guarantee a high-quality and economically viable universal postal service.

National mail tariffs
- The Non Prior stamp (delivery within 3 working days) will rise to €1.63 each and €1.58 each per sheet of 10.
- The Prior stamp (next working day delivery) will be set at €2.52 each and €2.47 each per sheet of 5.
These rates represent an average increase of around 6% compared with 2025. A further increase of 3% may be applied during 2026 if inflation exceeds forecasts.
International tariffs
- Standard mailings to Europe: €3.07 per item and €2.95 per item per sheet of 5.
- Shipments to the rest of the world: €3.29 per item and €3.17 per item per sheet of 5.
Parcels
Rates for prepaid national parcels will be increased by plus or minus 3% depending on weight. For example, the 24-hour bpack will now cost €8.60 instead of €8.35. There will be no price increase for prepaid international parcels.
As every year, during the busy period (peak in the number of parcels) between Black Friday and Christmas, a surcharge of €1 per parcel will be applied. This measure is designed to offset the additional costs associated with this particularly busy period and to encourage a better distribution of shipments outside these dates.
Maintaining purchasing power and saving money
For the majority of users, the impact on their monthly budget will remain limited to 13 centimes per month. Indeed, 82% of customers currently prefer the Non Prior stamp, and 99% buy their stamps in sheets of 5 or 10, which enables them to benefit from the best rates.
As far as parcels are concerned, bpost encourages customers to send them outside peak periods. If this is not possible, bpost invites them to take advantage of (digital) solutions to reduce their costs:
- Online label printing at lower tariffs.
- Have your parcels delivered to one of the 4,100 pick-up points available across the country.
Stamp price structure
The price of a stamp reflects the full cost of the postal service: collect, sorting, transport, distribution, infrastructure management and any returns. It also reflects bpost's ongoing investment in technological modernisation and the sustainability of the logistics network.
Stamp validity
Stamps purchased before 2026 remain valid indefinitely thanks to the system of franking units (1, 2 or 3).
