bpost’s bbox network continues to expand at a record pace. The company has now installed its 2,500th bbox. On top of that, more than a thousand additional bboxes are planned for 2026, and usage of existing bboxes has doubled this year.

bpost adapts its tariffs for 2026
From 1 January 2026, bpost will adjust its stamp and parcel tariffs in order to continue offsetting the structural decline in mail volumes, which is becoming more pronounced every year (~10% less per year) and will be further accentuated by the requirement for electronic invoicing in 2026; the increase in costs linked to inflation; the rise in wage costs and the strong seasonality of demand. These price adjustments are essential to guarantee a high-quality and economically viable universal postal service.

Active Ants introduces its first AI-powered robotic arm
Active Ants aims to accelerate its growth as a highly automated and trustworthy fulfilment expert. This involves adopting new technologies. At the Active Ants warehouse in Dorsten (Germany), a first AI-driven robotic arm for picking was successfully introduced. The robot can pick up to 600 parcels per hour and is capable of learning from its mistakes. The robot will be further deployed at other Active Ants facilities across Europe.
