bpost’s Management Committee welcomes Koen Beeckmans and Philippe Dubois

Koen Beeckmans will succeed Pierre Winand as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Committee. Kurt Pierloot, currently heading the Mail Services Operations (MSO) division, and member of the Management Committee, will become responsible for the domestic Parcels division. Philippe Dubois, currently Operations Director MSO, will be in charge of the MSO division and also become member of the Management Committee.

Following the departure of Pierre Winand, the Board of Directors has decided to appoint Koen Beeckmans as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Committee as from 1st November 2015.

Koen Beeckmans, 44, started his career as a teaching assistant at KU Leuven to become a consultant and manager at Deloitte, first in Belgium, afterwards in the USA. In 1998 he joined Tractebel in the finance/taxation department to become in 2006 CFO of GDF Suez Energie Nederland. Since 2010 Mr. Beeckmans has been CFO of Cofely Nederland (part of GDF Suez). Koen Beeckmans is commercial engineer (KU Leuven) and Master in Taxation (Fiscale Hogeschool Brussels), and he attended the General Management Program at CEDEP, INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

In addition, other changes within bpost's Management Committee have been decided upon.

Kurt Pierloot, member of the Management Committee, heading Mail Service Operations successfully over the last 7 years, will become responsible for Domestic Parcels, an important vector of growth in bpost's strategy. He will combine that with his current responsibility for the International activities. He will transfer his responsibility for the MSO division.

Philippe Dubois, currently Operations Director MSO, will become responsible for the MSO division, and will become member of the Management Committee as from September 1st 2015.

Philippe Dubois, 47, started his career at Cockerill Sambre and held various positions before being promoted in 2004 to operational department director at ArcelorMittal Steel Belgium in Liège. He joined bpost in 2008 as Manager of Liège X to become later that year national sorting director and member of the MSO executive board. In 2010 he became process & transformation director and in 2014 MSO Region South director. Philippe Dubois graduated as Industrial Engineer at the Gramme Institute in Liège, complemented with a Master in Management of EPM in Louvain-la-Neuve. He also attended a General Management Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

The other responsibilities within the Management Committee remain unchanged. Marc Huybrechts remains in charge of Mail & Retail Solutions. Mark Michiels remains in charge of HR&O.
