Stamp collection 2025: a voyage through time and innovation

This 22 November bpost reveals its postage stamp collection 2025, a homage to Belgium and its creative spirit, between history and innovation.

Here are five compelling reasons not to miss it:

  • Pink Ribbon: A postage stamp dedicated to the fight against breast cancer to encourage people to get screened and support patients. That support will be clearly displayed on envelopes from October.
  • 600 years of the KU Leuven & UCLouvain: Two major academic institutions celebrated on a sheetlet featuring the “Sedes sapientiae”.
  • Pi: The postage stamp to mark Pi Day is… round – in honour of this irrational number that all students know.
  • Smurfs and sustainable development: Those good-natured blue humanoids the Smurfs, great ambassadors of Belgian culture, show their social engagement in a playful way to promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Short and video game: In association with the DAE cluster at Howest, interactive postage stamps with QR codes to access new productions: a short film and a video game created by talented students.

Royal portrait:

The permanent King Philippe postage stamps, the most well-known postage stamp among Belgians, will be updated in 2025 with a new engraving of His Majesty. The new portrait will be set against a background of pop colours. The change adds a contemporary quality while preserving the solemnity of the royal portrait.

The new collection is coming:
